Here's some junk for you to read
Review: I read the braille version of Annie Fanny today and it really felt good.
REALLY GOOD!
MwahhhhShe was Seated Comfortably in the fluid Death Car, A Hazard Signal lit in her head An extreme chrome engine roared wickedly beneath her, rumbling up against her where she sat. Exquisitely engineered, as if by human-robot cross-breeds, the car dazzled them all They saw her frozen smile through the tinted glass and twisted as the car sped haphazardly by them, lights colorfully sparking out of the wheels
“It’s Turning!” shouted one smart, dapper young chap from beneath his hat-brim
Screeching thunder was pouring forth as the smell of rubber and fumes was dragged from behind and upon them. And then he threw his arms up, a look of dismay creasing his otherwise placid physiognomy
She was thinking of flowers, blooming wildly, spreading across hillsides, flowers everywhere
The people all drew sharp breaths involuntarily in – thinking now about the Death Car and what it meant. The young chap smoothed his coat and shrugged, a mother held her baby and asked the solitary question “What?” to no one in particular as the road sounds coruscated about them, the sounds becoming physical, becoming powerful
There was every variety of flower, some unknown, blooming along the parade route
A little boy ran after the car for a few yards, laughing his innocent laugh and turning to smile back at someone
They could feel the situation careening wildly around them like a sack of giant frogs on a roller coaster, or like an iceberg accelerating past the speed of light
The air chirped, ants and insects swirled in the ground, fleecy clouds erupted upward
She felt the velocity of the Death Car, struggling against the very environment of its own entrance, she embraced the freedom of certainty and waved back to the little, smiling boy
Ugh
Endless asphalt miles ran liquidly by in the summer Tennesee sun, as if a part of the hypnotic road rhythm beyond the Greyhound’s dark windows. Alain tilted his head to see the lay of the land and saw nothing differing from ten previous views.
The sun beat down on the road. The passengers stirred slowly, if at all, as time cocooned the huge, shining vessel as it bore relentlessly down on Memphis, the Eden of American music.
Alain tried to consolidate the input of his senses, his studies, what he had been told, but it was all bigger, more indifferent than words and ideas could say. He was always awakening to its power. His sense of this country was overwhelming: its size, its vigor, its restlessness. He could not put a name to any of it. It was foreign to him. He just absorbed and wondered as the hours wobbled away.
Tennessee seemed to him more powerful yet than even New York City. It seemed more endless, more a country of its own. It was full of trucks, farms, cities, mountains, plains, forests. What could be more powerful?
Edwin Renfield Foundation
The Edwin Renfield Foundation will be a not-for-profit organization for the betterment of humanity and the universe. The foundation will have 10 official departments, all with an eye to the unifying motto and statement of purpose: “Enlightened programs for the select few”.
Departments:
1. The Father Edwin Renfield Home For Wayward Girls
Girls who have strayed from the straight and narrow will find protection and a home to get a fresh start in their career pursuits. The home will provide these girls with on the job training and unpaid internships in the world of commerce, as well as low-interest loans for purchasing franchises from the Edwin Renfield Social
Enterprise Capitalist Situation.
2. The Edwin Renfield Social Enterprise Capitalist Situation
This department will create lucrative small business franchises for graduates of the Edwin Renfield School for Wayward Girls, along with low-interest, government-underwritten loans and grants to be used for purchasing said franchises.
3. The “Mystery Fund” (an “unofficial” department)
The foundation will maintain a discretionary fund that believe me, will be put to good use for the improvement of the internal and external universe.
4. The Abraham and Marcella Pander “Actual Do Good” Activities Department
In order to maintain its not-for-profit standing, the foundation will perform actual “Do Good” services, such as providing cheap paint for run-down churches and donating free out-houses for the homeless.
5. The Tony Soprano Laundry of the Dispossessed
The foundation will run a chain of laundries to be staffed by ‘unfortunates’ who can find no gainful employment in their home countries. The laundries will in turn be used to launch and house other “enlightened” enterprises.
6. The “Big Picture” Research and Development Endowment
This department will be dedicated to identifying and developing new areas of expansion for the foundation. Outside ‘unofficial’ funding sources will be sought and developed.
7. The Omni-Belief Religion Establishment Center
The foundation will develop, foster and spin off new, start-up religions. Coordination of religious activities will be monitored by the foundation for professional oversight considerations. The goal of the OBREC will be to divert 25% of all US religious traffic to new, efficient religion-delivery systems by the year 2010.
8. The Arthur Rimbaud Department of Alchohol, Drugs, Firearms and Explosives Initiatives (unofficial department)
The foundation will work with third world countries to develop “enlightened”
programs for dealing with the alcohol, drugs, firearms and explosives they face.
The foundation will use ex-military, ex-CIA and freelance operatives to help government officials and concerned citizens accomplish these initiatives.
9. Ghenghis Khan Enablement Programs
Provide advice and groundwork for other fledgling foundations in return for ongoing funding responses. The Ghenghis Khan Enablement program will provide seasoned professional services to wannabe foundations. Assistance with red tape, government-related fees, application writing, grant submissions and legal maneuvering associated with not-for-profit start-ups will be provided.
10. The Edwin Renfield PAC
The NNPAC will strategically allocate donations to elected officials to promote “enlightened” legislation and to block “unenlightened” legislation. New, “enlightened” candidates will be identified, coached and hopefully thrust into office by the foundation, for future considerations.
All donations may be tax deductible.
