A Song By the Idiots

Just before the sun arose in the dark underbrush we had sat
Undulating groovily like wonderkind, syncopating untired
As majestic mounds of magic bounced happily in dim light
Seeming to be the globes of pulchritude glistening

Glistening for the warblers whose song is lost to flight
Glistening for the frozen though on a hot midsummer night
And for each and every monkey out there a listening
I looked right up at globes of pulchritude glistening.

Glowing for my mental state, glowing for my sake
Glowing for my growing zeal, my anthemn and my ache
Glowing for the clowny lamp shining constantly in my face
I looked right at the globes of pulchritude glistening.

Through the mad mystic hammering of the wild ripping hail
The sky cracked its ochre in resplendent wonder
That the clinging of the shapely orbs blew far into the breeze
Leaving only mounds of light speckled wonders

Shining in the wind, shining in the rain, shining really good
Shining for the union pace car and also for my brain
And the unshod dancer behind beyond rightful is her time
I looked right at the globes of pulchritude glistening

Through the Absorbine Jr. evening the musk retold its tales
In the disrobed fancy form of Honey Champion
Glowing for the Hungarians with no place to speak their minds
All below the godforsaken multitudinous ambiguity

Glowing for the stoned and laughing, glowing for the flautist
Glowing for the stammering, clued-in brother, the yelling angry faun
For the insensitive clandestine cerebral mobs of hot pursuit
I looked right at the globes of pulchritude glistening.

Even though the hypnotic white curtain in a glittered
And splattered cloud's mist was slowly far-off cornered
Electric hearted searching struck like fired but for the condemned
Drifting free and lonesome-else be kept drifting like an arrow

Glowing forever on the light still from arrows seeking trails
No lifting ones their spooky boyfriends with goo sappy tails
And for each unbarmy, goofy soul upside inside the house
I looked right at the globes of pulchritude glistening.
Yo! I looked right at the globes of pulchritude glistening.
