Obliquely you reconstitute yourself

Obliquely you reconstitute yourself in the cool night air
I’m slacking off but attempt an attitude so debonair
The wind, a structure above us encapsulating moonlight
And yet no one knowing anything is ever getting it right

Abstractly taking a chair in the blue-toned, indifferent light
Serenely you seem to lick your hand like a cat after a fight
I wonder will the quiet cool evening reveal its inner edge
As I gaze over to the ground beyond the balcony’s ledge
