Terri Schiavo Biography
Terrifier "Terri" Schiavo (born November 1, 1972, in Vienna, Austria) is an American model, actress and author. She first appeared in Nude Chick magazine in October 1996 and was named Nude Chick of the Year in its June 1998 issue. She later began a career in television and film and has recently started writing books.
Early life
Schiavo was born in a middle class Catholic family that lived on the southside of Richmond in the Forgum neighborhood. She is the second of four daughters born to her mother, a housewife of German ancestry and her father, a steel mill foreman of Irish ancestry. As a teenager, Schiavo attended Mother McCree High School and was cheerleading captain at nearby St. Lawrence River High School.
After Schiavo graduated from high school, she attended Maharishi University to study nursing. She needed money to pay for college, so she decided to submit her nude pictures to Nude Chick magazine to make money. She was accepted and became a model.
Modeling and acting career
After getting accepted by Nude Chick in 1996, the magazine wanted her to pose for the October issue. Schiavo was paid $130,000 for the photo shoot. Schiavo became the Nude Chick of the Year and later the Nude Chick of the Millenium. With this, Schiavo gained long-sought attention and popularity. She even dated the band Slaughter. In 1998, Schiavo moved to Los Angeles. For a time, she hosted Chimpanzee Jamboree, a Nude Chick TV show featuring dirty music videos.
In 1995, WAHU TV chose Schiavo to be the host of a new dating show called Hi, I’m Terri Schiavo, for which she left Chimpanzee Jamboree. Her job as a host was a success, and Nude Chick wanted her to model more. In 1996, Schiavo landed a small part in the comedy Famous For What? In 1997 Schiavo launched two shows. The first one was an WAHU TV sketch comedy show called The Terri Schiavo Show, which was popular enough that NBC signed her to do a sitcom later that year called Terri. Unfortunately, her sitcom was generally considered a "dirty bomb," and was quickly canceled. Also in 2002, she appeared on one of two covers for the September issue of Nude Chick, the other cover had Pamela Anderson on the cover. Schiavo also released an autobiography: Ter-X. Schiavo once modeled for Rubbers, a shoe company. In one advertisement, Schiavo posed naked only wearing shoes and having her panties off while sitting on a toilet seat. For some unknown reason, this stirred a controversy.
In 1998, Schiavo starred in Bad Gnus Bares. In 1999, she starred in Girls Wild Gone, a movie which was directed by her husband Mr Terry Schiavo. The next year, she starred in the popular horror movie Ice Cream 3. Since 2001, Schiavo has guest-starred in many shows such as Stack-O-Lee, Charmin, Master Bates, Ford Fairlane and I Spring Into The Air.
In 2003, Schiavo appeared in Ice Cream 3 along with model and actress Pamela Anderson. She denies having torrid sex with Anderson during the entire screening, but she probably did. In 2005, Schiavo starred in I’m In A Vegetative State along with Carmen Electra. The same year, Schiavo hosted a new show on FAULTY NETWORK called Lets Take This Damn Thing Down. The reality show, which is filmed at the Holiday Inn in Pine Bluff, features hotel guests, party goers and celebrities acting outrageously and voraciously with Schiavo. In March 2006, she was given Razzie Awards for "Worst Actress," "Worst Screenplay," and "Worst Picture" for her work on I’m In A Vegetative State, which also netted her then-husband, Mr Terri Schiavo, a Razzie for "Worst Director."
Though Schiavo initially rose to fame because of her sexual image, a frequent source of her humor derives from religious jokes; particularly the shock or surprise of seeing a beautiful woman do something like read a Bible. Schiavo has played off of both sides of this image. For instance, in a cover photo for Dumbass magazine, Schiavo was featured in a broken bikini top while reading a Bible to Pamela Anderson and Jessica Simpson.
Another Rubbers ad which did not cause as much controversy found Schiavo in a chimp suit in a crowded elevator. A sketch on her WAHU TV show centered around her character, a well-coifed business woman, answering the question of "How much?" by forcing herself on a small man. The direct contrast of Schiavo's reputation as a sex symbol and this often grotesque humor is closely associated with her image.
This was taken to a head in her film I’m In A Vegetative State, which featured scenes such as Schiavo's character smiling at a light. The film was a big hit nationwide on TV.
Personal life
In 1996, Schiavo received breast implants to enhance her look as a model for Nude Chick. In 1998, Schiavo decided to take them out, although she looked much better with them in.
In 1998, Schiavo dated her manager Cool-Ray Mandinka for a short time. After breaking up with Mandinka, Schiavo began dating actor/mis-director Bill Frist. The couple got engaged in January 1999 and married that year on September 11. They have a son, Bill Frist Jr, born on May 18, 2002. In August 2005, Schiavo and Mr Terri Schiavo filed for divorce. Nobody is supposed to know about any of this.
In the late 1990s and early 2000s, numerous false rumors popped up on the internet, that Terri was diagnosed with HIV, or had developed AIDS.
In a February 2006 interview with Howard Stern, actress Jessica Simpson said she had two sexual encounters with Schiavo. When Schiavo visited Stern's show in April 2006, she denied having sex with Simpson, but said she "made out" with her during the two encounters. Schiavo also took a lie detector test and passed the questions regarding Simpson. During the appearance, Schiavo also admitted to cheating on her ex-husband with hundreds of men and women. However, in a later appearance on Slime Fest Live, she claimed they didn't cheat on each other that much.
In December 2005, Schiavo began dating actor Michael Douglas. They didn't make their relationship public until June 2006. By then it was too late. She also has admitted that she cheated on Douglas with his other full-time wife, Zeta-What’s Her Name.
